  1. Dear Sir,
    You mention in your engine transplant pages that you sell kits to convert RS4 V8 headers to fit S4 V8. What do you mean by that? I’d be interested in buying the correct flanges and getting someone local to me to weld them to an RS4 manifold.

        I think your mistaken but I am able to help you in the same way I’ve helped out many S4 owners that want performance from their cars.

    Firstly, I’d like to congratulate you on what looks like an exceptional build, and I’d also like to thank you for sharing it.
    I bought a B6 S4 about 18 months ago and instantly fell in love with the V8 tones and effortless torque, only to find that it was using oil, a lot of oil.
    I’ve rebuilt both heads myself, replaced all 40 valves seals etc but sadly thr car still has a drinking problem.
    I’ve recently got hold of a known good bottom end, as ice read that these engines can suffer from bore/ring wear, so when I get the engine out again to swap my heads onto the other block, I was considering going down the RS4 exhaust manifold route, as you have done.
    I was hoping that you might me able to help me with any info you have that could assist me in accomplishing this, please?
    Any info that you might be willing to divulge would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Matt, thats really unfortunate and disappointing, my original engine has oil consumption problems and I found that freewheeling when you take your foot of the accelerator had a dramatic effect to lessen this, in my new engine that has covered 50k doesn’t use oil and I have been using Millers Nanodrive racing oil from new, expensive but it seems to be preserving the moving parts, if you reply with your email or phone number for WhatsApp I will definitely help where I can.

I also have a part used clutch and an aluminum flywheel forsale, the only reason for selling the clutch is because I have since supercharged the car and went to a stage one clutch, I highly recommend a “metal” thrust bearing and replace the tube that this moves along, with these mods your car will become very lively even before a remap that will transform it in the best way you can imagine

  5. Hi. Just seen your web page, and caught my interest as I just imported an S4 25quattro from TX. Given my past 25 years with the 5 cyl, I look forward to play a bit with this V8.

    Your headers look interesting. But how would you describe the effect on the sound? I’m looking for the more deep growl rather than the higher frequency sounds when climbing up the revs.

    A supercharger is absolutely a plan down the line!

    The front grille carbon fiber parts, are they available?
